Ryan Charles Gaglio
Ryan Charles Gaglio is a shareholder in Stradling's tax practice.
Mr. Gaglio focuses on tax planning, tax controversy, and transactional matters. He advises clients on the federal, state, and local tax consequences of mergers and acquisitions, bankruptcies and workouts, estate planning, and executive compensation, as well as sales, use, and property tax matters.
Mr. Gaglio has significant experience in federal, state, and local tax controversies and disputes and has successfully represented clients at all stages of proceedings before the Internal Revenue Service, the California Franchise Tax Board and the California State Board of Equalization, as well as in tax controversies before the U.S. District Court and the U.S. Tax Court.
Mr. Gaglio also has extensive experience in all aspects of business aircraft transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, outfittings, financings, leases, and charters.
• Advised Allegro Ophthalmics, LLC on international tax issues related to licensing deal with Senju Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. to develop and market Allegro's Integrin Peptide Therapy in Japan.
• Counseled foreign investors about international tax consequences of and deferral opportunities related to investments in real estate, natural resources and infrastructure projects in the United States.
• Advised foreign governments and sovereign wealth funds on international tax issues related to investments in private U.S. companies.
• Represented Swiss Watch International in connection with international tax planning related to operations in the United States, Europe and China.
